不受欢迎和她的运气，玛吉已经有一个艰难的时间导航雷区，是她的郊区高中。但当她深爱的母亲和唯一的冠军(格里尔饰)死于一场悲惨的事故时，玛吉的生活完全被颠覆了。除了极端保守的祖父母，玛吉无处可求助，于是她决定去寻找她疏远的父亲(扎恩饰)，他是一位前足球明星，住在墨西哥农村，是一名海滩流浪汉，也是当地女子足球队的教练。两人都没有准备好迎接如此巨大的改变，但他们修复过去、向前迈进的最好办法就是在一起。 Unpopular and down-on-her-luck, Marge is already having a tough time navigating the minefield that is her suburban high school. But Marge’s life is completely upended when her beloved mother and only champion (Greer) dies in a tragic accident. With nowhere else to turn except her ultra-conservative grandparents, Marge decides instead to hunt down her estranged father (Zahn), a former soccer star living in rural Mexico as a beach bum and coach to the local women’s team. Neither is ready for such a big change, but the best shot they have at fixing their past and moving forward is together.
